Reflexology & Indian Head Massage At Work

Reduce workplace stress – the natural way!

If you could supply your workforce with a method of keeping on top of their stress levels, would you implement it? If it also made them healthier, happier, more balanced and with improved well-being, would you give it room in your business?

The answer could be having an on-site reflexologist visit your company regularly. You can empower your employees to make a healthy choice for their stress levels and to choose to book to see the reflexologist. You will need to provide a suitable small space. In return you get a workforce has improved wellbeing, with lower absenteeism and a higher regard of your company as an employer.

As a mobile reflexologist, I will arrive at your office with a special reclining chair, where you sit comfortably fully clothed. The only clothing to be removed is socks or tights. It is best to wear loose comfortable clothing so that you feel relaxed. At the start of your first session, I will conduct a thorough health and lifestyle consultation. I will apply pressure to reflex points and zones on the face, feet or hands creating a stimulating effect which relaxes tension, improves the circulation, can restore balance to the body and stimulates natural healing processes.

Indian head massage is performed seated using a variety of massage and acupressure techniques to the scalp, face, neck, shoulders, arms and ears. It’s perfect for an office environment. It provides a sense of enhanced well being, alleviating muscular tension, stress and anxiety. The Indian Head Massage is dry (without oil).

Having treated high-achieving, often highly stressed clients-university professors, researchers, software engineers  – I am aware of how stress can impact a person not only physically but also emotionally. It can trigger anxiety and depression, irritability, insomnia; it weakens the immune system, which can lead to physical illness. In fact, stress is at the root of around 70 percent of the illnesses.

Workplace stress is a big concern for employers in the UK and worldwide. In 2015/16 stress accounted for 448,000 cases of stress related illness, which resulted in 37% of all work related ill health cases and 45% of all working days lost due to ill health being answerable to stress. Stress affects productivity through both absenteeism and presenteeism which in turn affects profit margins.

As you can see from the following testimonials, other businesses offer on-site reflexology and their employees find it very beneficial:

‘It’s very convenient having an on-site reflexologist at work as I can arrange appointments during my working day, I also look forward to the appointments and feel less stressed when I know I have one arranged.’

‘I do suffer from neck and back issues which can be exacerbated by my desk job and general work stress. When my neck has seized up before I have had to take time off work and receive physio. Since seeing my on-site reflexologist, I’ve had no time off work for my neck because of two reasons: she has helped to prevent my neck seizing up and has helped to relax things prior to them worsening.’

I qualified in Reflexology at the London School of Reflexology (Level 3 Diploma), with further training in:

With a particular interest and experience in working with a range of conditions such as: sciatica, lower, upper back, shoulder and neck pain, headache and migraine, stress and anxiety, insomnia, also asthma, constipation, PMS and menopause, sinus congestion especially after a cold or a flu.
