Introduction to Reflexology video

Hopi Ear Candling combined with Facial Reflexology

It is a natural and gentle therapy suitable for adults and children. The treatment is a very pleasant experience and many clients report how much more relaxed they feel afterwards.

Ear Candles are hollow cotton tubes, impregnated with beeswax, some herbs: Chamomile, St. Johns Wort and Sage and honey. The original ear candles have been used for centuries.

An Ear Candle treatment lasts for about 60 min.  The ear candle is lit and placed to your ear. They are safe to use, as each candle contain a filter that prevents any candle residue from falling into the ear. A light suction action generates a massage-like effect on the eardrum. This induces a pleasant feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ears, forehead and sinuses.  The elimination of ear wax which has been warmed by the vapour of the candle, will be triggered naturally and will happen during the next couple of days.

This is followed by Facial Reflexology which helps the lymphatic drainage.

Ear candles may be helpful for:

  • Improvement of hearing
  • Cleaning  the congested sinuses
  • Loss of smell
  • Tinnitus
  • Allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the membrane lining of the nose)
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Glue ear

Indian Head Massage

Each session is approximately 50 minutes long.  Indian Head Massage not only works on the scalp, but also on the face, shoulders, upper back and arms. These are the areas of big tension, perhaps from poor posture, an  accumulation of emotional stress, or spending long time in front of the computer.

An Indian Head Massage Session:
It takes place with you sitting on a chair and can be performed over clothes – dry without oils; or with the use of oils.

Aromareflex (Aroma Reflexology)
is combining the power of essential oils to your reflexology treatment. To enhance the benefit of the treatment you will have a blend of oils chosen just for you.  Inhale their therapeutic aromas as you receive your extra long reflexology session, assisting the body’s natural ability to heal, maintain itself and balance the emotions. Your skin absorbs the blended oils to enhance your well-being.

The art and science of aromatherapy involves using Nature’s pure essential oils to support the body with physical and emotional conditions. This adds an extra element to sessions and clients love the extra care and relaxation this can add.

In Aromareflex we use 12 oils in different blends in our treatments for example if my client is stressed and has muscular skeletal problems I will choose oils  that support aches and pains and relaxation. If the focus is hormonal balance and exhaustion I will choose oils that support hormonal balance and are reviving.

Benefits

  • Relaxation for stress and better sleep
  • Eases muscular pains
  • Energizing a tired body and mind
  • Helping to boost circulation, which also promotes the flow of lymph around the body
The blended oils and lotion (which I make for you) are massaged into the lower legs and feet at the beginning and during the Reflexology treatment.  You can take home some of the blend with you, to use for the next few days, to maximize the benefits.  Aromatherapy, like reflexology is a holistic treatment which uses essential oils like Lavender, Geranium, and Rose to promote and maintain physical and emotional health.

I am a trained in Aromareflex Reflexologist and not an Aromatherapist. That means that am insured to use a limited number of essential oils as part of my treatments.
